Stephen Stills, 26 avril 1968
“I was at a Judy Collins session in New York in 1968, and when she was finished, I peeled off a few hundreds for the engineer so I could make a tape of my new songs. Some you’ll know; some you might not. The following fall we made the first CSN album, and the tape has been lost to the wind for almost 40 years. Somehow it’s found its way back, and these songs now feel like great friends when they were really young.” — Stephen Stills

Some news about SS in Rome, I was at the show 3 days ago.
Warm-up song with the band Helplessly Hoping. Then SS opened the acoustic set: Treetop Flyer, Girl from the North Country (Bob Dylan cover!!!!!), Change Partners, Hearts Gate, The Blind Fiddler, Johnny's Garden (a song "about that old, weird America", he said), Daylight Again/Cost of Freedom (the best moment of the show according to me), then he said: "We have another Civil War in America, especially with that crazy woman from Alaska".... e then he jumped into Suite Judy Blues Eyes (The band joined for the very last section). 15 minutes break. The electric set started with Love the One You're With, Bluebird!!!!!!, The Wrong Thing to Do (Cover from the Mudcrutch, the first Tom Petty band, again alive in 2008), Wounded World, Isn't About Time, Old Man in Trouble, For What It's Worth, Dark Star and Southern Cross. Two encores. But I didn't recognize the first one, sorryyyyyyy, then Woodstock.
What can I say? I appreciated more the first part than the second one. But it's just my opinion. Anyway he was in good shape.
The venue was the same where Crosby & Nash played in March 2005.
I hope I was useful with these news.
Ciao from Rome

Re: Stephen Stills, 26 avril 1968
